People having trouble with the 808 drifting out of sync when using a PC and a MIDI to DIN-Sync converter. Try using another sequencer! Previously I used Cubase SX2 and after a minute of so, it went out of sync, had this trouble for several years before I switched to Logic Platinum, and now the sync is rock solid, like with an MPC or Cubase on Atari. I can finally use my 808 again!

one of the finest drum machines i have ever had the pleasure of using. quiet honestly sometimes i get quiet sad using it; it really is a dying breed of machine in terms of sheer sonic quality and i don't think that there will be another instrument that will have the sheer status that the 808 has. talk to people that are half into music production and they'll know what an 808 is. then ask them about a drumstaton....

i used and owned tr808,xbase09 and drumstation, nothing can beat the original thing, especially the kick, its so deep.09 and novation can emulate the tr909 kick good enough, but never be the tr808 kicks.

booooom! goes the 808 bass drum. Yep! one of roland's most admired drum machines. However the sounds of the 808 were borne from roland's other small-time classics the CR-78 and CR-8000, you wanna check out these beatboxes too....
