Can`t see any point in buying one of these nowadays, the totally superior and noise free U220 can be had for buttons also and takes the same cards. No Contest, get a U220 instead.

as a sample playback unit I prefer the 220 to the JV2080 even if it is a little limited

I own several U-110 cards, four of which I use for my U-220. I also own two that I will sell if you need them. They are sounds that are in the internal memory of the U-220, but were not in the 110. They are cards #8-Synthesizer, which has some of the D-50 and Jupiter pads, string, and brass; and #9-Guitar & Keyboards, some nice clean Strats, organs, etc. You can have them for $10. each. Just e-mail me if interested. By the way, I never owned a U-110, but have had the U-220 for 8 years. Still find it useful, since it is much cleaner and has a decent reverb-not to mention superior sounds. Someone posted here that the soundsets of the 110 and 220 were identical. Not true! If you like some of the things about your 110, but the noise is too much for you, sell it for $200. and go find a U-220 for $300. It will be worth it.

Some organs sound great in addition with other synthesizers ( I add waveforms from my Kawai K1 to the internal

U-110 sounds ). The second and the seventh piano sound nice too, but the rest of the sounds are hopeless. The

internal percussion set stinks.

To let the U-110 sound better you will need to buy ROM cards, but as they are hard to come by I recomend U-110

owners to buy another module.

A good unit for musicians on a budget. Extra ROM Cards are a must. Frequent memory reset on my unit are really painful... Still haven't found

the problem. Any idea??? Can easily be found in 1997 for 200$CAN.
