Just acquired a Roland VK-8 Organ.My controlling keyboard is a Korg Triton Pro. The VK 8 seems to stuck in omni mode, which as a sound module makes it unuseable for midi sequensing.The procedure described in the owner's manual for getting it out of omni mode doesn't seem to work.Does anybody know how to assign a specific midi channel to a Roland VK 8? Thanx Dave

I want to either split the keyboard or play the lower manual (or pedal) from an external keyboard. The problem is that when I do this, both the Chorus/Vibrato and the Leslie sim affect the lower and pedal parts too. I don't want chorus or leslie sim on the bass line. Is there a way to disable it for the "bass" part?

I have the same problem,and so it turns out,every VK-8 has this,i allready bought the thing before i noticed it,so i went back, and the shop where i bought it,was very suprised,so they send it back to Roland,and now i'm still waiting for it to return..... But if they cant fix it(witch i doubt,because its a worldwide problem)i will go looking for a CX-3....... Hopefully with the assistance of the shop where i bought it,because its just a 1,5 month old,and i payed good money for it(1500euro)so if they want to do the right thing,they help me find a good CX-3,or give me my money back, Because i bought something of them that doesnt work,like it should work But we will wait and see......

I dunno... it just doesn't do it for me. The leslie simulator (I know I should be using a real one) is wierd. The overdrive kinda stinks, and the frequency it puts out just isn't... there. The tone wheel sounds on it are real annoying... and... oh... the wrost part... the action of the keys has this bounce to it. Play any key staccato and get a double register on it. Anyway.... It's cheap to get... 1800... in the world of new organs anyway. But I don't think it's worth it. Nevermind the new price.

When my CX3 gets fixed... I'm taking the Roland back.
