Just thought i'd post a follow up to my earlier one on the xp10. it's been about 3 months since i bought it and i've discovered the arppegiator thingamajigger isn't so useless after all. Try using it weird weird sounds like (107) Shamisen or Echo Drops... One point though.. the Freestly software it comes with.. it's a piece of shit. It's pretty simple but I have to re-install it constantly... I'll check into cakewalk or digital performer

Im looking for mixermaps and StudioModule drivers for my XP-10 for Cubase VST. I dont know, where I can get it and Im not so good in programing with SYstem exclusive and studio device drivers. Next, if anybody have studio module for Cakewalk Pro Audio 6, please send me it. STeW

OK, so you buy a keyboard, you expect a backlight and you expect it not to crash a la PC. These are minor gripes, anyone using a computer-based sequencer knows the save it or lose it mantra. Lights with little clips are readily available for those of us who play in the dark. The fact is this keyboard sounds F%$@ing great. The acoustic sounds, especially the acoustic bass, are as good as get. The orgs/pianos/clav sounds are great. Check out a killer pad, Soundtrack - real tasty. The controller options are superb. The dual controllers assigned to VCF and Freq give you the kind of control you only really get on older knob-covered behemoths The dual control is very simple but amazingly effective. The sound of an entire, homemade jazz break going through a perfectly controlled filter loop is incredible and entirely possible on the xp-10. If you're looking for a flexible first keyboard and want good, 'real' sounds this is without a doubt the best keyboard for the task. Snap one up and have a blast.

I bought the XP-10 for 420 quid, and I think it was worth every penny, the guitars and organs are superb as are a lot of the basses. Its my first synth, and I recommend it to anyone as a first time buy for ease of use and economy. I have a small problem that I would appreciate any help with. When I use the controllers with cubase (or cakewalk), they seem to have recorded properly, but if I change the part actually on the XP-10's display, it does not play the control changes back. Therefore I am restricted to only using control changes(the execellent filter sweeps etc) on one channel (or part). This is seriously annoying me. Please help.(By the way if I change back to the part with the control changes they are played back properly).
