It's amazing my original review of the Korg 01/WFD is still posted here from 1996. Unfortunately I sold mine in 2003 after 10 years of ownership.

Now, enter the Roland XV-3080. It's a good buy on E-bay for $400 in 2007. The quality of the patches on this module are fantastic! The number of voices for sequencing are wonderful too. Once you figure out how to use all of its features, it's a powerful instrument to have. It's quite an upgrade from my old 01/W.

I LOVE THE SOUNDS IN THE ROLAND XV3080 BUT THE EFFECTS SENDS CONFIGURATION IN PERFORMANCE MODE IS A PURE JOKE. I HAVE TO PUT THIS NICE MODULE UP ON EBAY FOR SALE. IF YOU WANT TO USE THE XV 3080 IN PERFORMANCE MODE, YOU'D BETTE BE ABLE TO ROUTE THE SOUNDS OUT TO A MIXER WITH ALL THE NECESSARY EFFECTS YOU'LL NEED FOR PROCESSING BECAUSE IN THE XV3080 THERE ARE NO INDIVIDUAL SENDS FOR EACH PART. HORROBLE. JUST HORROBLE!!!
