The best funky little monophonic synth and line-sequencer ever. Master the sequencer and it will spit out amazing lines of such a beauty that it makes you wonder why you didnt come up with a line like it yourself. Let it run sync with your midi devices add a little delay use the modulation right and it creates magic in every style and tempo. I had one for 10 years,...used it allways ,...sold it,...cried my eyes out,..and bought another cause i missed it sooo bad. And,.. that's not all A little handywork can put analog input on the machine to filter any signal. There's a proggie that lets you input midi files through the tape in socket so you can make really complicated scemes Open it up and you'll find a lot of potentiometers that you can put outside the machine to tweak it silly. And a lot more. I love the machine and when i die i'll be sittin on a cloud ,...wearin a white sheet,..not playin a harp but modulating a 202

THIS MACHINE SOUNDS AWESOME. I ONLY SAMPLE IT BUT PREFER ITS LOW END BASS SOUNDS AS ITS THE ONLY BOX I HAVE THAT CAN RUMBLE THE MONITERS. I HAVE A NORD BUT HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GET THE ROUND WARMTH OF THE MC 202 FROM IT, AND ITS SUPPOSE TO BE THE FATTEST VIRTUAL ANALOGUE. I WILL KEEP THIS BOX FOREVER, ITS WICKED! ACID IN YOUR FACE!!!

DJ Pepper tree needs to realize that when this great little box came out , the only real time sequencers around cost a fortune and where very limited also , comparing what joys we have in hardware seq , and computers to this is silly it rocks at what it was designed to be , and the step time seq is great , you can fire off one internal seq to the analog synth onboard , ie 101 , and one line off to an external CV / Gate device such as another sh101 or similar synth what else do you want? and for what you pay for it , its great.. DJ pepper idiot , do some reading..
