Krashman speaks the truth..."creativity is soley dependant on the creator"...very solid philosophy. No real musician would knock a piece of gear that costs so little ($250 used) and does so much. The MC-303 is really guite an incredible value at that price. What's up with all these losers knocking modestly costing gear that actually delivers serious value? Ive been playing music for 40 years and I would never knock some persons $250 instrument just because I own a much bettter instrument that costs $3500. That is simply silly what to speak of unkind. Some of the best guitar playing Ive ever seen was by a guy in Mexico named Lobo who played a cheap $200 guitar. A real wizard playing at a pizza joint. Many Gypsies in Spain absolutely refuse to play on expensive instruments. Even if they are given them for free by afficianados, they will just give it away to some idiot who thinks he can play better on a "elitist" instrument. Now that is humility!! They love to make an inexpensive instrument sound AWESOME!!

Anyway, lighten up you guys who can afford better gear. Think about it, for $250 the MC-303 is absolutely one of the best pieces of kit you could find anywhere. I challenge you to name one other instrument in that price range that can even come close to the functions of the MC-303. Obviously you cannot come up with anything!! Wake up and stop comparing the MC-303 to far more expensive items. It is grossly foolish and deviantly misleading as well. Please display your ignorance and prejudice somewhere else. It does not belong here. Any real musician could kick ass with the MC-303 and YOU KNOW IT!! DUH!!!!

"This thing is a piece of shit, period" Gee thats what they told me in 1985 about my 909 when the TR707 came out with all digital sounds. The machines are the same its just the SOUNDS that are different. I give credit for Roland for as least trying to update the machines and they ALMOST got there with the MC-505... Now if they would just let me build them the ULTIMATE Machine, The MC-909: Analog/Digital, Sampling, Sequencing, Drums, Effects AND an Air FX all at once...

You know its funny, creativity is solely dependant on the creator. This box is a wonderful machine, one that if you dig into it and create can only be an asset. I have had mine for 3 years and would not trade it for the world. I have read reviews on the Quasimidi 309, which i also own, it is good for what it does but doesnt touch the creative ability my 303 has!!!

the mc303 is a rip off. don't get sucked into the hype that these guitar center employees create for the sole purpose of not having to clear their inventory of these for $50. there's so much more on the market available nowadays. it is amazing to see so many folks take honest reviews about why the 303 sucks personal. keep telling it like it is microflip!
