So what good is an instrument that won't let you do your own sounds? Samples with filter is what it is. I had enough sense not to ride the hype and buy it. I've had 10 times as much fun out of my single part juno 106 than i'd ever get from an mc-303.. Roland is trying to make easy money from ignorant people. Stay a way from the grooveseries...!

It's me again. The MC 303 has been my first instrument and believe me, I am not disappointed. This thing allows you doing many things, all you need is a little bit of creativity. Right, some sounds suck, many of them are simply average, but... It's good value for the money.

I think there is no sense in buying MC 505 (unless you're kinda live-tekkno-deejay-freak and want to pick up some girlies). Now I have got some extra stuff because MC itself is not enough if you think about serious approach to music. But believe me, this box ain;t no shit.

i intended to buy this box just for the drums and for some additional synth sounds. but then i realized that i can just get rebirth and a sampler and sample all those 808 909 303 sounds PLUS do so much more with the sampler. More bang for your buck. dont get a groovebox. get rebirth, a sampler, a sequencer and additional tone generator of some sort and youre set 4 life.

1-The MC-303 is very difficult to use via midi 2-the sounds are so hard, the kits made shake my house!! 3-if you are looking for a sound module to work via midi think about other module... listen their sounds until you buy it :)

ah, almost forgot: don't forget to buy a midi kb for your groovebox! without a midi kb you will have tonz of bizarre sex with your mc-303, trying to play something sophisticated :)
