To get new keys and hammers, phone Roland in Cardiff and order some. Then flip the lid open (screws underneath), gently insert flat blade screwdriver into pivot point and prize out the key. Keys/hammers easy to replace and always well worth it. My RD500 still going strong nearly every night - completed over 1600 gigs on it now.

I love the 500, but I'd like to know where I can get replacement Hammers and Keys for the Instrument. If I can replace these parts I'll keep it for a long time. I play all types of Music and it really sounds good for any ocassion,With any group,Jazz, Pop,country, Blues,Gospel, and Classical. The felt needs replacing, fitigue is beginning to cause more hammers to break. The glue only lasts for a short while.

i love this keyboard. it's easy and reliable, and we've never encountered any 'on-stage' problems with it. perhaps the only 'draw-back' we could see is the 'key unit's' can tend to break, requiring trips to the shop. (anybody out there know how to replace/repair the key's?) all in all, it's, by far, the BEST keyboard i've ever used.

RD-500.....
Good looking, fantastic key touch, but I don't really think the sound section are any good for serious CD production..... (except it's electric piano patch, that sounds good!), a special heavy keyboard suitable for pro studio use, I love it.
