Picked this module up for £20 or so, and it was really worth it. The main piano sound is excellent in the high ranges, but loses it's edge on the lower octaves and starts sounding muffled and slightly distorted. But within your usual playing range the piano sound is better than what you might hope for at the cost of this module, and is expressive enough for your average hobbyist player.
There are no external controls on the module, except for volume, so a good controller would make all the difference in using it. That said, I get by using a very basic controller.
Overall this module is good, but I would want to pay more than about £30 for it. At this kind of price, you'll be pleasently suprised about the quality. But if you pay more, you'll probably be disappointed.

I bought this from a music store used for $25.00. Wow! I had no idea what I had purchased. The sounds are as good or better than most of my rack mount stuff! I use this unit mostly for recording. I'm very happy and wouldn't think of letting it go!

Got it used for $100, and it was the best $100 I've spent on kbd/MIDI equipment. Excellent GM module -- some great sounds, very quiet and reliable, and the "Bright Piano" patch is the best piano I have. Simple, basic, but very good. It's my default sound source almost all the time, and then I add tweakable sounds from other sources as needed.
