A really solid, reliable, good sounding unit, albeit a little difficult to understand. In 4 years of using it as my main sampler, it's only crashed a couple of times. It does sound really, really good. However, with samplers getting cheaper all the time, this one is starting to seem a bit pricey. It's like the Volvo versus Honda issue, you pay more, but you do get more value. It doesn't have anything in the effects department, but does have nice filters. When it came out, this unit had some pretty cool time stretch algorithims, but it's not anything your computer can't do better nowadays. (I use Logic Audio Platinum myself). If you're doing dance music however, I'd really recommend you get a cheaper unit and spend the extra money on Steinberg's recycle.
