I really wanted to like this baby - considering I have a MPC60, 3000 and SP1200 - I heard so many things about it online and in interviews, but....
It does sound good, but the interface, pads, and sequencing etc really fall short compared to the SPs and MPCs, I understand the cult status, it is cool looking and has a nice old school feel but I dont see this thing becoming a working part of my sound, unecessary to say the least.

Sorry guys. Looking old now. Other stuff has turned up now which is better. Mine is being overlooked for later gear. Im sorry coz ive loved mine for years and years. The lofi is easy to duplicate. Watch prices take a tumble. I got out of mine at the right time.

I've had mine for about seven years,it replaced my old sp1200,becuse I needed to seqence keyboards and didn't want to go computer.I got alot more than I bargained for. This machine is a monster, the looping is flawless, the swing's a killer, the sampler at it's highest rate w'pre e.q and at 45 will give you glitter, you can create many kits of 1 sound with out loosing memory.you can block sounds, insert, copy, append,I can list it all.I use it for hip hop & house.I have the 2.21 version from point source. The only & biggest drawback is that it crashes once in a blue moon, but you just gotta keep saving,oh, and I've gotten some glitches on my samplesd sounds, wich really pissed me off,but if you make a back up you'll be alright.Mine only takes double density disks so I started using the scsi w'a zip drive.
