~What more needs to be said ? A benchmark little synth and the Mother of Bass machines. Great leads as well, and it still looks really cool.

joey d a part-time user from usa writes:
the sh-101 is a serious bass machine! i also have a minimoog and the bass sound is much different, its hard to explain but the bass from the 101 has a boom sound and the mini is more like a humming type sound should i say.i really think the sh101 can produce a deeper freq than the mini.but both machines can make excellent bass,so if you have either one you are set with your bass sounds.the sh101 can also do the cool 303 type sounds-but i wouldnt say you can produce every type of 303 sound possible but it just has that cool 303 type sound-listen to the crystal method-vegas cd and youll really hear alot of it.. get a good distortion pedal and youll be suprised of the wacky sounds this unit can do! and youll be seriously suprised of the bass this thing puts out!..i love it!

Minimoog74 a professional user from Austin writes:
i own both as well as a bassstation, and the one that gets the most use is the MiniMoog, there is no way in hell the the SH sounds better, you just can't beat the filert on the Mini, Cum on buddy 1 Osc on the SH, 3Ocs on the Mini, it just don't add up buddy! Yeah the SH can squelch like a hog if you want it to, but as far as bass the Mini is KING, Sonny man i hate to tell you this but i think you need to get your Mini fixed bud, my mini is an older model and i've put it up against the SH head to head and the one that truly rattled the walls was my Mini!
