Tim Forster a part time user from United States writes:
I have a blue one. Traded a beat-up bass guitar and an old amp for it, but I

got my money's worth. One thing I'd like to say is that this machine can be

used for more than just the old techno/goa/jungle/trance/hardfloor/name-your-

dance-music-style-which-uses-any-Roland-*0*-machine. I personally use it

as a lead synth and, run through a guitar processor, create some really

interesting industrial sounding leads. Interesting thing also I found out

purely by accident is that it will self-oscillate (extremely). Had this song

I was working on where I turned off the square, ramp, and sub leaving the

noise on, I forget what I had the VCF on, and the thing kept spitting out

sound when run through the guitar processor, almost sounded like a looped

guitar feedback riff run through a ring mod ... totally strange but good.

I think this little box kicks. The only problem is I can not get it to stay in rythm

with my MIDI drum machine (it is an Alesis SR-16). Any Ideas?

I wouldn't mind trading patches with some people, because I cannot find

any sites/ Any one interested?

Jake Catlett a hobbyist user from San Frandisco, USA writes:
Hey, if anyone wants an unbelievable modification done to their SH101 check out

www.netkonect.co.uk/a/analogue. The guy who runs that page can modify your

101 so that it's modular. You get two rows of quarter inch in/out plugs on the

front panel. It basically turns your 101 into a System 100. It's truly a thing of

beauty. Here's the best part - it only costs 99 British Pounds for the mod.

That equates to about $160-170. Not a bad price for a modular synth. Check it

out, it's truly worth your while. OSCILLATORS MODULATED BY LFO'S ARE AKIN TO

THE WORK OF GOD!!!!!
