this machine kicks assss!, it can burn your speakers, cuz it can go very low. it sweeps horrible, and the noise comes around you. i love this machine, although the knobs are not fantastic..... you need one!

I own a Sherman QMF, and I must say that every time I use it I am impressed with the flexibility and modular style, as well as the quality of the product.

Too bad that they didn't make more of them.

This thing is just almost too good to be true. I own a bunch of different filtering devices, and I really gotta say that there is just nothing like a Sherman Filterbank. Its a little harder to use than some of the others, but oh man does this baby sing!! I am very impressed and now I want another one of these to do the dual filter thang, after owning this for about 3 months. Very very fine machine. If you want a great filter then go for a sherman filterbank and you will feel the POWER in your hands!! Just amazing awesome breathtaking and earth-shaking fun!!!!!!! Can it get any better?

mike a part-time user from chicago writes:
i just got the filterbank 2 this week, and it is a very straightforward unit.

i sent some drum mixes through it and started twisting knobs.

it is actually very easily laid out, even if it seems chaotic.

the sound: it can be a very subtle distortion unit that adds more power to your sound. it will not soften any sound, it will make it hard and strong and if you want very squealchy.

i love how there is a trigger sensor, so if you play drums, it will know when a drum hits and create more harmonics at that time period.

anyways, great great unit, but not terribly versatily.

it will most definitely be used on every track for something, if not for the whole mix to make some dirty techno for vinyl.
