Galen Butler a part-timer user from San Francisco, CA writes:
I've gotta echo that for the price, well actually regardless of price, this thing is a great monosynth. Bright, bubbly, bassy, ripping, and excellent TB303 if you're into that. Decent modulation possibilities; you can have it speaking in tongues easily.

Interface wise, haivng only one knob is a little annoying sometimes, if you're trying to quickly audition a tweak of more than one parameter at a time. But that's why it's a relatively inexpensive machine. All parameters are MIDI controllable, though. I use Cubase's contoller editor, and it's fairly fast that way to get whatever you're after.

So only one knob, but if you can get over that, the sound is fabulous. I nearly always split the output and run half of it back through the analog input, sometimes processing the signal on the way back in. Add a QuadraverbGT or similar processor and the men in black will be showing up at your door.

Tim Baier a professional user from Baltimore, MD writes:
What the last guy said is funny because I'm buying one to replace my Pro-One for road usage. A couple of tours getting pounded around in the back of a van did wonders for destroying the Pro-One's keyboard. (They just weren't designed for that, and daily surgery was often required to get some keys to work...) Not to mention the unexpected pot "freak-outs" when you didn't give it 2 hours to warm up.

I've searched long and hard for something to become "a more reliable Pro-One" and the ATC-1 is it for a great price. If you're looking for something new to emulate an old monosynth, this is IT. I've done the searching for you. I'm looking forward to many years of "feak-out" free operation!
