this is one serious mofo of a synth, two vco multicoloured beast that just sounds round and punchy, the bass on this thing would keep you warm in a fucking ice age it is sonic mdma for your ears.Get one and make some of the funkiest bass lines ever.I would love the se1 as i hear that is even better but the atc is also superb and so sexy sounding,i defy anyone not to make great bass lines with this thing the sounds in it just inspire you, everything from dirty pornpo funk bass to grinding breakbeat bass, the leads are also superb but i do prefer my waldorf pulse for leads for some reason they cut better but for bass i am yet to find a better juicier machine. It is like pulling a thick warm coat on on a cold day when you have been standing there naked he he,its that warm.i love it.The guys at studio electronics know the score.buy one from them and keep these boys in business.easily 1 million out of 5.

This box is a awesome sweet sweet analog synth. Modern, stable, FAT, VERSATILE, what more could want. The 4 filter carts make this synth even more versatile and you don't even have to spend tons of money to get a Moog, Arp, SEM, or TB303. For the money, you won't find anything that does so much, but not only that. The initial reviewer was right about doing a great job imitating the original analogs. Glad I decided to check this out. Its been a Gem for me, or should I say diamond for its sound and versatility. Right now there is one on Ebay with the Selector and 4 carts. Nice and compact, not like a huge heavy analog keyboard. I can't wait for future synths from S.E. These guys are awesome! Killer bass and leads! In a league all its own.

I bought this for $500 on the used market with the standard Moog cartridge. Oh my GOD. The sound is amazing. So warm. So juicy. So punchy. The best midi controlled analog I've ever used. I don't know why people are dropping stupid money on rickety old pieces like the Moog Source. This sounds like a Moog without all the hype and inflated prices, plus it's newer. This bad boy is made in the US by American engineers, I hope Studio Electronics is around for a long, long time. The unit has been dropped from about 4 feet, didn't even hiccup. It's on steroids, very aggressive. It's only weakness really is the fact it only has a data knob and membrane switches, but it's so easy to use. Even the manual rocks, funny and informative....no engrishisms (hello Roland and Yamaha manuals). If it wasn't for the 4 osc switching function on my Mono/Poly, the ATC1 would've evicted it long ago. I can't give this synth high enough marks, whoever said it'd be good with a Nord Lead is on the mark, it's like VCO Nord Lead! The chunkiest basses, the sweetest syrupy leads....you two can write your own hiphop tracks and 70's porno/70's tv show music! Can't wait to pick up a Selector and more filter cartridges for it. Superb work Studio Electronics!

nice analog warmth. Excellent replacement for some of the oldies, though it is a replacement.
