my bandmates of my 2nd group is a expert in programming a 4-operattor fm module tx81z,well,he made lots of industrial sounding timbres which we combined them to use in many songs, its great.well, besides this, the fm is still better for solid bass and metallic bells and efx.but it surely better than a preset only fb01.

Great synth for arabian/turkish/Gipsy music. I use it at studio: two in pair, with another 2 FB 01.

Having owned many synths, including Jupiters, Junos, Korgs, MOTM (modular), etc..., I must say that NO other synth compares for the "under $100" range.

This thing is awesome. Bought mine for $80 USD. I am still trying to learn programming it. I am used to subtractive synthesis. FM is new to me. However, this thing just sounds WICKED. Its not hard to get really unique sounds out of it.

It can sound very dirty and distorted, but in a good way. It sounds like nothing else I have heard.

I would not reccommend it as the only piece of kit, by buy one to compliment Analog or Virtual Analog synths and you won't be disapointed.

It sounds more organic and "alive" than most virtual analogs. I would not be surprised if this is the next "TB303". You know, $50 synths going for $800.

Anyway, it rocks in a serious way. I have one now but want two or three more!!!!

Gareth Morris a part-time user from England writes:
For the money this is such a steal - no really its fantastic. The sounds can be quite realistic and the presets are so usable. Even if this were your only module you'd be able to produce really good output. The 80s style bass presets, organs, and synth strings sounds are ones to look out for.
