Hey Jin!
Why would you rate the unit one out of five, just because you don't know how to run it? If you have a question on how to run it, why don't you post a message over in the Gas Station. That's where those questions go. This is the area where people who DO know how to run their units review them.
If all of your factory presets are screwed up on the TX81Z, then you have BIG problems, because they are not able to be changed. Don't try to initialize it--try to get your money back!
My review--venerable unit. Classic. I keep adding junk to my rig but there always seems to be a place for the lil feller. I keep fighting the whim to buy another one. Ya need to add outboard FX, but, other than that, it's a keeper.

Hi everybody outhere! I just bought tx81z and all the factory presets are messed up. Can anybody help me out with manual or Sysex or even letting me know how to initialize the unit if there is such a thing? Thanx

The TX81Z is a good cheap FM unit to add to a midi setup (my industrial setup). Well, I use it mainly for bass and digital noise. Most of the preset are crap. The perfomance mode is useful for creating phat bass and lead. For 100$, the box is a good buy, that's why I give it a four.

I used to have a TX81Z and regret selling it...it's a great FM synth! There is also a Yamaha keyboard called, I believe, the DX11, that is esentially a TX81Z with keys. Search your local music stores and you may find one...
