Hi. I bought the aelita from the previous poster. I started my interest for this synth 2 years ago, but all the ones i found for sell where for about 500$ or 600$ in nethederland or Russia. Well i don´t got any vinculation with soviet synths, just like some old artist and movies from the Ussr era. In my opinion Soviet synths are for music the same than Lomo cameras/lens for fotography. The first who took my attemption was the unique artwork design, i think it´s full of charisma and everybody who steps on my studio ask me about it. A 18 kg machine, solid like a stone, big and heavy. Specification are well detailed by Esco from Finland, i´d just like to say that it´s very hard to find a 3 vco´s machine for 300? here in spain, and thi´s a real deal in analog forgotten treasures, even much better than other analog gear i bought with a higher price. Sound is simply amazing if you like fat machines, very very very powerfull but warm at the time, and the unison is very usefull for my music, or just to experiment new sound with the 3 oscillators, vibrato and the rest of the features. Aelita is an oblivious lady, maybe not so known in books, bands or collectors. This make it still accessible for good price if you´re lucky to find one. but i should say it will become popular with the time, and it will probably become more expensive, or at least keep as a secret beatifull weapon missed.

I don't know what the previous posters talk about here. It seems, that they haven't even tried the synthesizer out, at least they can't say anything significant about it, except for some shit about the doorbell(I'm looking at my Aelita right now, I guess you should take tons of acid to see a doorbell there).I can say, that Aelita is surprisingly well designed and built and even the keys are half-weighted(which is very rare for soviet synthesizers, I also own a Polivoks and Estradin and both synths have terrible keyboards). Aelita has a lot of neat features for a "toy synth"(as the previous poster said): four oscillators(three+sub), creamy filter, 2 envelopes, hard sync function, pwm, asignable LFO with variable waveshape, wierd unison mode and much more. The sound is very warm and bright and has it's own special charisma, which is the most important quality of the synth in my opinion. Highly recommended!
