the digital osccilators are far to precise everything else is ok! detune the osccilators for some really nauseating bass. if you don't have a guitar overdive/distortion pedal, go out and buy one! and make sure it's a good one.your pulse/303 hybrid awaits. unlike all digital synths the pulse works beutifully with external solid state distortion devices.

Pulse is the shit , not the fattest thing on the planet but It can perform sonic acrobatics in the blink of an eye and it is SOLID . I dont have step problems in the latest o/s (unfortunatly an eprom upgrade) , if you do try taking it out of a midi loop (ie dont connect the midi out , only the in) that helped alot in earlier versions . earlier versions also stepped their lfo's a bit , this has been unnoticable in latest o/s . Also pulse plus cv options are incredible , I bought a technosaurus micro analog module with only cv control and its like having another pulse but it cost under $100 .Cv is fully independat . Filter in is probably the weakest point , its lush but not that usable , maybe if house is your thing but not for insane drum and bass filtering . Oh and highpass filter would be excelent .
