Q is simply the best analog modeling synth available. With 3x the DSP power of the celebrated Microwave XT, the Q has huge potential. A lot of the extra dsp power went into sound quality, particularly in making *very* smooth modulations (as in fliter sweeps etc). And you can hear the difference. No other synth sounds so convincingly analog with such unbelievable sound fidelity.

The mod matrix is fantastic, allowing you to rout almost anything to anything else. The result is an increadibly deep synth for programming and can yield some excellent digital-scape sounds as well.

The list of great features just goes on and on...for example, the arpeggiator which has an advanced 'user' mode which allows you to create unique arpeggiator note lists. It also allows some very useful parameters such as:'glide', accents, staccato/legato which can be assigned individualy to each note within the (up to 16 notes) note list. Each patch can have its own arp pattern *and* step sequencer pattern. In multi-mode, this will give you some outrageous rhythmics.

The only drawback right now, is that the OS is not completed yet! Neverthless what is there (about 80% done) allows you to use all the OSC, 1 ring mod, noise, LFOS, both filters, all 4 envs, the routing matrix, and the arp.

Q is a BEAST. If you don't believe me, read up on the specs, and if your lucky enough, get your hands on one for a test drive. ;} Well,
