Nothing to add to what's already been said really - just a stunning piece of kit - I even like the look of it, at least it's individual. 6 out of 5

in my opinion ,the microwave xtk is the best microwave series ever built,i have a microwave-1 also and love the microwave xtk much, much, much, much better.the xtk doesnt have analog filters but they sound very convincing to me! and also you get a big choice of filters which can really change the way the sound is over-all.it is easy to make great sounds from pads/strings to even some cool bass patches, also i think the xtk sounds alot like a prophet vs -i have compared the two together side by side(yes i do have a prophet vs to)the pad sounds are very similar.even the way the sounds (beat) sound very similar.the keyboard has a good feel so it makes it worth getting the xtk rather than an xt.be warned though, that the screws on the bottom of the xtk can become loose after time,i had some fall out,but they can easily be tightend as long as they havent fallen out and lost.i like the wacky color to,it makes it really sticks-out!

The XTK is, at bottom, a paradox. The ability to produce disturbingly complex soundscapes, etc. with a quality that surely is beyond human is fantastic in itself. But the ease with which one can achieve this makes this wavetable synth something incredibly special. This synth will not only be around for decades because of its build quality, but because of its sound generating qualities as well. A must!
