My MK1-SII works great!!Ok itÂ´s a little more dificult to program, than for example a DX-7 but once figured out how it works,you got a powerful machine.But there always to few voices, especially when having only 8 of them installed. Working with the additive synthesis cousing lots of fun, ending up with sometimes strange sounds;) You only need a good reverb system since the "wersivoice" doinÂ´ all the work to make sound FAT!

Furthermore for real wide stereo just double the sound and put in left slot.... The "presets" buttons really kicks,storing the entirely machine setup in one button make things far more easier to recal. If my one had more voices, IÂ´d give it a 5 but for now itÂ´s only a 4 ;)

that thing is gr8, especially if you use the vcf distort on brass type sounds and mess with the filters (best on bandpass) it's actually easy to program, if you know the modules and where they are and especially if you have the module sheets - if someone needs em, I can make copies of those. best wersi quality tho hard to program without those sheets thaz why it gets no 5 :P

up beating it up that night, and now it's inside a plexi-glass coffie table in

my studio. So, if anyone needs some parts for this thing... Let me know! Over all,

I think it had great potential, I just got ahold of a real bad one.

The MK1 has great pontential in it's sounds. The filter distortion is really mean. Sadly I find it is VERY hard to program, even with the manuals. I've made my own help papers to lay on top of the Function Matrix to help with the programming. I've spoken (or mailed actually) with the guy that made the factory sounds and he said that the boss of Wersi US stated that the synth should be hard to program to encourage customers to buy sounds from Wersi rather then to program their own. Seem plausible to me. I don't have much time to spend on learning the MK1 so unless I find a GUI editor/librarian running on a Mac or PC I'd be "forced" to sell it. BTW does anyone know how many cartridges were released? I have only one but it carries at least some cool sounds.
