Ignacio a part-time user from Argentina writes:
I got my A3000 V2 used last year. I love most of its features and functions, but i have a crucial problem: It uses to mute all sounds suddenly, while i play my MIDI keyboard, with no message of error or something like that. Sound just come back as i go on playing, but the cut is very noticeable, especially with loops and long sustain/release sounds. I bought it to use it at live performances, so the problem is crucial: i can trust it...I think there may be something wrong with settings, but i tried a lot to, and i couldn't get any solution...

Incredible sampler.. Its packed with features: -128 mb max using simms -use copy paste to name your samples/programs etc. -16 different filters with resonance -resampling! -4 outputs and scsi on base model -space for an internal zipdisk/harddisk -3 fx processors -timestretching/pitch conversion -data input using midi keyboards -small 'wave form' display, usefull for looping and cutting samples

Man, the akai's that i used to own get blown away by these specs...

The only bad things are the buttons on the front panel.. but, you still can order spare parts from Yamaha

Nissassa a professional user from FInd me writes:
Ahhh Haaa, the A3000 is thee sampler it can play all most formats even .wav and .aiff. Man I can play my old Akai, Roland, emu and I don't know I'm still on the Roland stuff Ha!. When I sample my own stuff it produces flawless results it is better and easier to me than my past sweetheart the Roland S-760... don't hate me but these times you need someone who is there for you and ready to be there through all formats I mean times... this is a sampler I am talking about though but, she is very versatile. THe only thing I would warn usersor potential users about is the fragile knobs under the display and the kind different format for building programs/patches, other than that it is a AAA+ sampler to me. Oh and by the way the effects are pretty good too, you can even sample through them and just play another source through them in real time. YOu see my praises can go on and on so I'll stop now. Goood job Yamaha but, not a good job with the included sample cd that I need permission to use before I can use it commercially... why even include it? realll dumm.

Fraser a professional user from New Englad U.S. writes:
Buddy, I don't know what you mean. Mine has never crashed and I didn't know they were prone to that crap. Maybe yours needs a tune up. I think it is the most stable sampler I have used. I have used quite a few. I recommend you use it live.

strongly recommend against this sampler if you think about using in a live enviroment, it's too unstable and crash prone, mine is the v2 and for some reason it's very unstable
