I checked out the A3000 and A5000 at Sam Ash. These are incredible samplers. I already on a Kurzzweil K2vxs but I think that the Yamaha samplers would extend my sampling capabilities. On the A5000, you get six effects blocks which include your standard delays and reverbs plus compression, gating etc. Another great feature of the Yamaha sampling line is a sample parameter called expand. This allows you to create a stereo image from a single momo sample and elimates the need to create an additonal layer as on the Kurzweil. Akai, Emu and Kurzweil have the most powerful samplers on the market but Yamaha gives you many standard features for agreat price and small package, not to mention the controller knowbs.

Monster sampler, still not entirly happy with the user interface. Major power, but quite well hidden. No letter keys is a bummer for entering names aswell.
