A3000 great sampler. It has some effects that the new ones do not. So think before upgrading.

Ok thanx Craig, I think I´ved solved it. Must say that this is a PHAT sampler. What I like most about it actually is except the wonderful effects & filters, is that I can control Cutoff & Resconance etc. with my controllerknobs on my AN1X!!!. That´s FUCKING GREAT =)! And of course It´s blue! The only thing I don´t like about it so far is that the fan on the backside sounds a bit loud and weird. It´s not a clean sound, it almost sounds as if it was full of dust or something, a little crackeling sound, it´s not very loud but it´s a bit annoying. And this sampler is a totally new V2, so it´s not because it´s old and dirty. Anyway I couldn´t imagine a better sampler actually, BIG UP!

I don't know much about standard Akai samplers, but the Yamaha alternative is pretty good. Easy to use, lots of features to make everyday editing faster, lots of features to mess around with the samples, 3 independent fx blocks, enough power play the role of backbone workstation sampler in your budget project studio ... BONUS HINT: Works fine with EDO RAM.

This box is great for "messing" up sounds. It will keep you busy awhile. I've not had any "timing" problems with it sequencing, or otherwise.
