I have installed the new O.S 1.5. And loading time i decreased by factor /2. Yeeehaa. I have had my machine for a short time. And i am very impressed buy the filter and effects. Other sampler aren't even close i this department. If you have a A4/5K do you a favor and download the new O.S from the Yahoo discussion group "Yamaha A5000/A4000 Samplers"

Yeah, I can confirm that. Have A5000 at home. And it resample like you said aswell :)
Akai is still faster at loading but that's all where it is better. Yamaha's efxs and filters rock-da-house!

Once play and load are off this thing is excellent. And it does mangle sounds like you wouldnt believe. LOOP REMIX rox on every kind of sound. Its best used by transfering over the samples you want to use with scsi (I use sound forge 5) then saving them to internal IDE hard drive not SCSI!!

WICKET TOTALY LUV IT. Have had a few samplers in my time - and this totaly kicks ass

Attention everybody who thinks the load time is unbearably slow...PLAY & LOAD HAS TO BE OFF!!! A 64 meg FILE THAT TOOK 20 MINUTES TO LOAD BECAME 2 MINUTES AND 20 SECONDS! NOT BAD...
