Except scsi transfer and the slow knobs responds, its the best-buy sampler today. I come from the akai world.

Nice sampler, excellent effects and features. Unfortunately it has a frustratingly slow loading time. But for the low price i can cope with this although i wouldn't have minded paying a couple of hundred more for better speed.

At the momment my sampler is in repair and i can't use it hence the 3

After testing and using several other brands of samplers and equipment, the A5000 was the easy hands-down choice. Excellent sound. Excellent included sample library. Filters and effects are superb and clear. Great expandability. BUY IT!

Juan Jose Legarda a professional user from Spain writes:
I'm a S3000XL user and I've bought an A5000. Unnecesary to say how slow samples transfer is. I'm afraid we all agree on that. It's impossible to understand.

Navigation can't compare Akai samplers. After 3 months of intensif use I can affirm that Yamaha interface is much worse.

But what are the esencial things we can expect from a sampler? Sound quality, number and flexibility of outputs and ram's amount . In this fields A5000 is simply excellent.

Apart from that it's capability in reading Akai programs and samples is very honest. It only requires some minor adjustments.

Internal HD facility with up to 8 Gb of sample stock capacity is really a dream.
