I've just purchased this beast of a sampler from Sam Ash for $500 so already I knew I was getting something great for a good price. I've been up all night and I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what this sampler can do. Awesome effects which have synth like qualities, sick filters and user interface which isn't too difficult to maneuver through as long as you read the manual. I've never used a sampler which has had the sonic capabilities of this monster which is its strong point no doubt. Now the only thing left is to upgrade the ram and get an internal hard drive(it only uses 8gb max)which is relatively inexpensive.

I love my A 5000, if you are having speed problemsturn off play and load, get a fast cd rom and an internal ide drive, load times will speed up dramatically

I've had this sampler for a year now and have learned it inside out and letr me tell you, this thing is nothing short of PRO. Great for the home studio or the REAL studio. Mine travels back and forth from home to recording-studio. Well worth the $1100 I paid (they are still going for $1100 at Zzounds.com.) That must tell you something, that this thing is really good. Find one, buy it, that's it.

The greatest sampler I've ever used. 128 voice poly!!! 32 part multi! Effects are frigen awsome and so are the filters! A must have for serious producers. Bought mine used for $950. If you find one for cheaper than you should definatly go for it. It's a really good sampler. Only down side is slow SCSI.
