I've had the AN1X for about 6 months now, and every day I find myself marveling at it. I really wanted to wait until I knew the synth before commenting on it, and here it is: a perfect 5. I wouldn't trade this baby for anything.

Has 12db/oct 18db/oct and 24db/oct filters, lowpass, bighpass, bandpass, bandeliminate, all with resonance (which i haven't seen commented yet). 2 oscillators, one with sync-function which makes a wave withing the wave - there are 3 settings for the inner waves, and can be controlled with modulation via one of the two LFO's. The waveforms can also be softened, and when softened 100% it sounds like a sinewave. The sounds you can make are pretty good (or "okay" to say the least) and the interface is not bad at all, but there ARE better ones. (Nord Lead for example) hm, what else...? the keyboard it'sself is very good quality and plays quite nice. It's a 4 out of 5 :) Even more because of it's price.

This is the synth to get, if you can get one. Everyone is waking up to what a beast it is, and now can't find one because they have been discontinued. It do any sound you like. Highly programmable, just get the free really good editor. Oh yea, you can ovewrite the factory presets(you can restore them later if you like) You can also perform diags on it to make sure all is ok.

Great Synth!! No doubts!! I own many types and this puppy is going to stay in my set-up. Some of the phattest sounds out there. If you can find one, get it, you cannot lose on this one.
