It's very powerful in programming, you can control everything in realtime. The price is very good if you consider the cousin jp-8000(an1x is better!).BUT the sound...IT'S NOT ANALOG. I have a juno2 and I note the difference... Anyway if you want absolut analog it's not perfect, probably only good...But if you have other analog equipment this become a real best!SURE.

This thing is really AMAZING!!! Ok, there are others on the market that get more credits like the Nord2, the JP8000 and so on, but this synth is definately THE BEST FOR THE BUCK! I bought mine NEW at the price of 1900 DM and I must say that I´m a very happy person! I didn´t the least expect this from Yamaha but it seems they are getting dangerously good. Just go to the following page, check out the realaudio file and drewl! www.keyboards.de/news/0197/2201k01.htm Together with an MCx0x or a QM309 (about to buy one!) you can create everything!

This machine is really nice sounding. I was a bit skeptical when it came out (due to the csx1 or whatever it is). It looks like it, but oh, it sure does'nt sound like it. I was actually looking at a nord but I the sound of this one IMO couldn't be beat. Yes it is an unpretentious borad, but it has it where it counts (the Sound Department). The nord was sunk in the water after I compared the two. Give a listen yourself
