Great early FM keyboard. Came out before the famous DX7, it has several of the same type sounds. If you want a preset FM synth, that's very well built, and has the interesting portamento wheel (looks like a pitch-bender, but it's not) then grab this one up. A similar keyboard, with a more modern look (no fake wood!) was the CE-25, also with the same portamento wheel.

This little screamer gets top marks for its unique control options. These include velocity, after touch, and the portamento speed control wheel. Located on the far left this non-detented wheel is perhaps the most expressive implementation of portamento/glide ever seen on any synth! This mod-wheel looking thing allows very fluid soloing in its mono voice with great breathy flutes, reeds and horns and passable strings which, though lo-fi, have a certain pleasant mellotron edge.Chorus is available as well as sliders for vibrato, filter, and initial and aftertouch sensitivity.
As an added bonus, this thing is the right shape and weight to sit perfectly on my Wurlitzer 200A being my live piano of choice. Get one if you can. Keep playing!
