el cs15d es realmente una poderosa maquina de hacer efectos, limpios,muy electronicos,lo tengo hace un par de meses y estoy alucinado,los bajos d este sinte son muy gruesos,muy al estilo moog, arp,sus moduladores siempre listos,puedes hacer lo q quieras,tiene dos canales q los puedes mezclar,filtros, vca,vco,vcf,resonancia etc,una maquina sorprendente, ya no las hacen asi...

I bought this about 6 months ago for 30 NOK (5 bucks) because it's lacking internal speakers (so it was impossible for the idiots to see if it worked. The first word that struck me was "crap". The box couldn't even play two tones simultaneously. At first I thought of junking the whole thing, then I tried the manual functions. 1 hour later i found that I had just played C,D,F for an hour, without noticing time pass. Wonderful machine! The 2nd channel and the bass is now my gods.

When you fist look at this synth, you might be dissapointed. It looks like it doesn't do much because it has all these big chunky preset buttons taking centre stage. Don't be put off though. Give it a try and you'll be pleasantly surprised. There is lot of scope for making your own sounds from scratch, from squelchy bass to very strange ring-mod type sounds. For a single VCO synth, it has a very rich warm sound. Fairly typical of single VCO 1970's synths, but does it very well, plus the added mixable presets makes it seem a bit like a 2 VCO synth, albeit without the same flexibility. Personally, I love it!

THE CS 15D. This unit was the first Synth I ever got to lay my mits upon, and the owner, an ex band member of a portuguese polka group just ended up giving it to me! This was like 1993, and I was just starting to get into the whole MOOG thing and this was just perfect! I've been using this quality synth ever since for so many different parts..emulation of TB303 squelches through my Big Muff..swooshy flanged out pads for ambience, leads are even good, but of course only monophonic and one of the biggest marks for this synth is for the BASSSSSS!!! Rumbling rough or smooth basses, it's up to you! This is sweepable to ranges most synths choke and die at! My roland Sh-2 sounds like a cheap toy at times compared to the heavy sound that eminates out of the CS. The quality of the build is fantastic, sounds never 'drop' out of tune, the only thing that has gone wrong with mine, was at a time I overused the 'brilliance' slider, not it sounds thin in that area. I do wish there was an INPUT for external sounds to be processed through.. does anyone know how to retrofit this machine to do so? if so, please email me! :) I give this synth perfect marks, cause it's still and essential and surprising beast in my arsenal of sound shapers.
