I absolutly love this synth. It gives you everything you need in a synth to make some of the best bass sounds, hi-pitched chirps and everything in between. The real majesty of this synth is the low end. If you havent played this through a higher watt keyboad amp with sub, YOU NEED TO. Hook up a CV controler to the external input and this is a whole new beast.

what i like on this mono-synth: - the analog but more mellow (than harsh) sound of the 12 db multimode filter - the rubbery sounding square wave mod - the 80 herz lfo (great for fx) - very easy to use
if you are also a bit bored of brashy roland sh-filters, or of a way to overpriced ms-10, try this one, it´s fun.

What a nice little synth! It can't do extreme fx sounds like my Octave CAT (now sold), nor is it fat like a minimoog, but it's very musical. The external input is indeed nice, but really it's better just to play it as it never fails to sound like an instrument as opposed to a pile of circuitry. Good thing it's monophonic as you will need one hand free to twist knobs. Reliable and compact. It does have a square wave, guy-who-posted-below-me and it's quite assertive, thank you. Sawtooth also who hangs back a bit behind the square wave and is better in a supporting role. If you're looking for "features" move right along, but it sounds good and the prices are reasonable, so if you want a musical instrument I say go for it.

Best Basic mono I've played. My only beef is there is no square wave, but hell!!! I can use other things for that(monos arn't really good for that anyway).
Its very solid, but I don't know, mine is in prestine condition. So I could see there being some really bad apples in there(noisy, shitty keys).
So, I guess just make sure it is in good condition, its worth paying more. Just don't pay as much as I did. $450 on ebay, you win some and you lose some.
