cs6x kicks ass! really good keyboard...
present sounds are starkingly clear, hardly any noise (connecting it to speakers rather than through a crummy old noisy amp is a suggestion!)
superb finish, and looks; most people who walk into my studio notice the cs6x before they notice triton though they are both on the same level
programmability: great programmability, and effects are much more editable than the cs2x.
sampler: phrase sampling at 44.1; not a full-blown sampler, but does some techno jobs very well.
plug in boards: the plg plug-ins are ok. vocoder is ok. plg 150 an is more limited than the superb analog modeling synth, an1x (discontinued by yamaha). the best plg board i love is the piano plug in...superb quality!! and the vL acoustic modelling is great too...
however, you will get to know this synth only once you actually Create your own sounds by tweaking, etc. you can create some really wild and awesome sounds. i created a few sounds. the learning curve is not as steep as the triton, thank God. Its user interface is so easy, and its one of the best synths in my studio, a real POWERHOUSE! Get yourself one
