In the most friendly way i must coment mathew waters, on saying that the plugg is 99,9% as the real deal, i work as a salesmanager in a synth store, and have the possibility to try a lot of synts, i own a cs80 and alot of other analog synths, here it is. The arturia cs80 is nothing like the cs80 in all aspects, the sound and feel and expression possabilitys, playing with a cs is like playing a organic instrunent, playing the computer plugg is like playing a dvd of a consert instead of being there, i get scared when people say things like mathew does, its like saying look at a picture of paradise, and you will experience the same feeling as beeing there,,,,. People the cs80 is still the best synth ever made, the arturia cs80 is not a synth its software, its not the same thing, the synth sound nothing like the plugg, it sound 99,9% better compared to the software, maby in the future we can be satisfied driving a software car on the computer but when you sit down in a real car is when the magic starts, wake upp.

mathew waters a professional user from England writes:
I have owned two CS80's over the past 15 years one ended up as parts for the other one. I still have my original up and working well and it has a wonderful sound which most other synths can't touch, But this is where all you analog heads are going to hate me! I now use Arturia's CS80V software for recording and for live work because it can create the CS80 sound and more. I have had both the software and hardware synths running together and the software sounds 99.9 per cent as good as the hardware but I do use analog delays and chorus units and not the software effects which does make a hell of alot of difference.

I got my CS-80 new in '77-78 -if you read carefully what features it had in those days you understand it's significance. As far as tuning goes, today a couple voices are a little of as you cycle through on a single note but it's only been tuned once in 26 years-and moved around L.A. quite a bit.I'm thinking about possibly selling it
