I am amazed. Good as this is, it's not as good as the first DJX. It reallt isn't. It sounds more faddish and budget. I think it was a cost cutting exercise.

YES! Once again, i agree with MR. "Real" Professional on this one. You dont want this puppy. The DJX 2 board is not nearly as cool as the DJX2 box and of course the original DJX still rules #1. Thanks "real" professional for making that clear. The original DJX is a killer combo with the DJX2 box, but i would avoid the DJX2. Like mr real pro says, it doesnt deserve a 1...and i say especially if you compare it to the DJX original blue board.

I took one look at these boards a few years ago. I can just remember those keys. Yamaha have, without dispute created some great synths - the DX7 among others - but one look at those awful alternate coloured grey and white keys shyed me away. It's actually quite difficult to play because of this.
I eventually bought a second-hand original blue DJX of which the appearance is still questionable perhaps but at least the keys are the right colour and touch responsive!

It's funny...the original DJX thread has something like 6 or 7 times as many posts as this one!!! That's for a reason...DJXII IS TERRIBLE!!!Anyone who seriously likes this thing hasn't tried the original, you know, the blue one that actually looks like a keyboard as opposed to a toy. Yes I know the DJX kinda looked toyish, but I always thought the blue was unique.
