the djxii is a decent keyboard. There are many things that make it hard (as in you almost need four hands to get something steady going) but i like the record feature where you can play something and add to it. It is a good keyboard for effects with my band. And i love the Live Effects panel. I would give this keyboard 7.5/10.

Buy the original DJX for half the price and get 4 times the machine. Yamaha really messed up here.

If you're using it to play the sounds in it from a sequencer it's great. Which probably means you're going to need a keyboard and some sequecing software. Every sound all 203 voices (180 Voices + 23 Drum Kits) are available for your mixing and sequencing pleasure. But if you don't know a thing about that....... Sorry about your luck.

What a piece of crap. Id like to take a jackhammer to this thing. I was outta the music scene for a year or so, and i sold every piece i had...so i remember the DJX being a hellava piece...and look! theres a DJX 2 being promoted...if the DJX2 is anything near as cool as the first, itll be 2 times cooler, right?? WRONG. This thing is NOTHING like the original, and i think yammie cut MANY MANY corners. THey ditched the informative LCD screen and put lil red numbers in instead. They took out many useful drum loops, and added even stupider vocal samples. There were 2 more things that really make the DJX 2 suck BAD. As an Electronic music musician (which i believe most of us are)We like to be able to twist knobs while playing on the keyboard. ....you know, cutoff here, rez there..Well, with the DJX 2, THAT ISNT POSSIBLE. thats right, when in keyboard mode, the filter does not function..only in the useless pattern mode does it remotely work. The other thing is the Midi out..or lack thereof if you look at it one way...the midi out does not send midi notes to your sequencer!! It is only used for bulk data intended for the pattern loading program...Having no midi out is like having no heart, or soul..you cant get anywhere without it....All in all the DJX 2 is TERRIBLE...stay away at all cost and get the cheaper better original DJX!
