Hmm...okay, where do I start? Granted this was not designed to be a replacement for SL12's and a good mixer nor was it designed to be the kind of thing you would wanna take to a gig. I was semi-mortified one day to see this kid at Sam Ash totally going off on this thing like he was juggling 3 turntables in a REAL DJ BATTLE. What's worse is that when he was done, he looked at me like...."yeah, I am da shit". So when nobody was around and the kid had left I started messing around with this...thing. I totally reminded me of my old Casio Rapman keyboard with the faux turntable/wheel thingy. It had a fader, a couple of knobs, built in speaker...I made a couple of cuts with my finger on the fader and my hand on the turntable/wheel thingy...it sounded sorta-semi-realistic...I stress the word SORTA. Just as I was about to bust out into my best Mixmaster Mike Scratch Routine, the kid came back with his mom. He was practically on his hands and knees begging his mom to buy it for him. He said...and I quote "if you get this for me...there is not need for me to get a REAL turntable and a mixer...this has everything I need !" I slowly stepped away from the thing and allowed the kid to "break it down for his moms". She had this confused and puzzled look on her face as did I.
The point of this story is that if you are going to (or have you parents) shell out good old cold cash for some new gizmo...buy a set of cheap belt-driven turntables and a cheap mixer(perhaps DJ In A Box)and any old Fisher Price keyboard thing (I like the ones with train sounds and flashing lights)and you would be much better off and more accepted in a social enviroment. Even my 5 year old daughter thought that it was cheesy. I know it's not supposed to be some copycat "Groove" item (or is it?)but come on ! This is the sorta thing I could easily see Limp Bizkit endorsing.
Granted not everyone can afford REAL decks or even 2nd hand equipment...but please ! For the price of this you can get a used (gulp) MC303 that kicks way more ass than this thing ever could. In closing, if I ever see anyone at a party, club, show, etc. using one of these I will most definatly give them my 2 cents and a box of Ritz crackers for the cheese they wasted their money on!
Incidently, the kids mom didn't buy it for him...

WELL I THINK THE DJXIIB IS GREAT.ITS NOT JUST FOR BEGINNERS AND CHILDREN BUT FOR ADULTS AND DJS ALIKE.I DJ IN A NIGHTCLUB ON FRIDAYS AND LIKE SOMETHING TO MESS WITH A BIT MORE PORTABLE.I RECOMMEND IT TO ANY ONE GETTING STARTED OR EVEN PROFFESIONAL DJ'S.

Yeah, I got it, to start with, Took it back, Got some real turntables, Then realized how much I missed it.

it's kewl for the first month but then you'll get bored..same sounds and shit, i recommend it for beginners or children.

its a pretty sweet machine, i tested it at the store but havent bought it quite yet. its really fun but is wayyy easier than a real turntable. I dont know whether the one i was using was deffective or something but the cross-fader was too loose for my likings, you might want to test this machine before you buy it but i would definately recomend it to all my friends.
