DON't by this piece of shit guys ! I bought one and returned it to the store the day after ! The big mistake they made on this board is the MIDI feature ! The keyboard can not send out midi signals ! It can only bulksend !
check out the official Yamaha DJX site !!!!
I bought the Yamaha DJX-1 Which has MANY better funtions !!!

I DJ in liverpool - and I use a DJX2. Really, REALLY useful toy actually. I've sampled it and run it through my waldorf 4 pole filter many a time.
BEST KEYBOARD EVER (snicker)

Nick Do not buy that hunk of junk. You have got to be kidding! Hey just because someone was spotted on Top of the Pops using one , doesn't mean you have to. For the money you spend on it could buy you many different keyboards here in America. You could buy a CS-01 AND an Emax HD for the same price! I heard some of the preset songs on the Yamaha and they actually sounded pretty good. Nice and fat and very pro sounding , but come on , look at the silkscreen front ... I think they took that design off of a bottle of Loreal hair Spritz circa 1985.
Plese don't buy one Nick, no one will ever take you seriously if they see that in your studio. Get a MC-303 if you must or heaven sakes the first DJ-X is even better.
Oh well... each to his own I guess.

Well I had go with this at the Franfurt MESSE just for a laugh and thought it was really good fun.
Granted, you may not be using this if you are a pro but I'm gonna get one for the studio - it get's your creative juices going. I can see this being usefull for that _ getting a bit of a buzz then moving on to the other gear to go for it _ who knows, it may even have a use - I think that it can transmit some midi control data so it#s got to be useful for that.
Overall, I have to say I really enjoyed playing with it
