Rick D a professional user from USA writes:
I put my money where my mouth was. I could only afford one keyboard. Tried them all for hours if not days. Read the reviews, read the forums. Compared the stats. I bought the Motif ES7.

When it comes to specs, Triton fans and Roland fans can NOT argue with fact. The Motif's numbers dwarf those of the Triton and Fantom. Facts are facts. You can argue sound quality and ease of operation, but those are personal things. You can NOT argue specs. And there is no question that the Motif es specs are superior. And by a large margin.

So that leaves sounds. Those of you bashing the Motif just need to go to the Triton Forum and listen to the users scrambling around for 'real acoustic sounds' or 'dx type' sounds. It's funny. The Triton forum is all you need to read to see that the Triton is a big let down to most triton users.

The Motif ES is head and shoulders above the competition. Just read the Triton forums! haha! GO YAMAHA. And by the way: I love my Roland s760 samplers. they are awesome. The Roland 5080 is awesome. Nord makes some incredible but limited keyboards, and Kurzweil has been the choice of many touring bands for piano sounds. But for an all in one package: Only the Motif has the latest technology and specs. Read 'em and weep.

Don a hobbyist user from USA writes:
Great sounds cryptic user interface and editing whoever design this thing should have been fired. I have the Motif ES and the whole UI process is a mess.

Don't bother trying to load big samples because you may have to wait a few days to load a large sound or save one.

hey guys. ive been resading some of yur commens on the es and have to say yuo all make good points.but one question, when talking about an es wat is a 'rack'. im 16 years old leaving school and thinking about what keyboard to buy that will serve me well till im able to afford my own preferences at any time. my main choice was to buy an es8 as it was what most pros have been playing but was not as impressed by quality in sound as the fantom. the triton doesnt really appeal to me so wat wud u say is the best advice in purchasing a keyboard if your interested to respond please email me at jonathan_c_hutchinson773@hotmail.com

Saif Sameer a part-time user from Iraq writes:
Hi every one, I'm one of Yamaha fans, Motif & Motif ES, are considering Computer Based Synthesizer, i.e there is no floppy disk drive but there is a full USB interface to deal with PC influently. But these synth are good for studio, Alan Parsons uses Motif ES8 in his lates release.
