I was amazed to find that this was the synth being used to produce clean and clear / punchy bass sounds at a live event i went to. The band was a drum and bass/ dub band and i thought it particularly interesting that they would use such a synth. having only discovered what synth it was after the gig, i don't think i would have considered it a capable synth if it had'nt have been for that gig

Great analog machine, unique small box width real big analog sound, same at the sh101 (have little difference on the lfo and don't have the noise) width a 2 tracks sequencer. Is similar at the tb303, don't have the same superb sound, but can make a big range of sound...

This keyboard has a sort of built in carry case to it and has a MIC input for singalong fun.Yes it has the magcard strip reader for song cards and some custom drummer like features. The sounds are cheesy and the rhythms are too but it has a CLASSIC yamaha home keyboards sound and look to it so it is a must for collectors!I have one that the carry case flap is breaking off on one side and broke off on the other side. The PSR6300 is like this board but with better features and touch sensitive full keys, ram card and multitrack sequencer.(the flap is the control panel and it folds into itself and you can carry it around like it was a case).
