I love this thing. It's a toy, of course... no midi, no velocity... but the sounds RULE. Sounds like FM synthesis. The sounds are great 70s-era Oxygene-style synth sounds. Of course they're given names like "tuba" and "recorder", and sound nothing like them, but that's just marketing in action. I wish this was in a smaller case, like the casio mt-68, to supplement a more serious keyboard at a gig.

He he he my friend has one of these and I thought it looked kind of interesting, so I checked it out. No MIDI, really shitty preset rhythms, lack of voices, and made this dumb high hat sound when you select voices. Basically a piece of shit. However it has that shitty Yamaha reverb on it and this kind of lame delay that is actually sort of usable. The polyphony on this fucker is about 10...I'm not kidding...yeah this is basically just a toy. However this sort of proved my recent theory, being that if you add decent enough filters, distortion, and other effects to *ANYTHING* you will come out with something sweet. I tried this with a Zoom 506 and some of the sounds sounded really expensive! Running through some distortion and "Reso-Wah" and the "synth" settings on there (not real synth, but quite usable). So anyway this thing is just as good as any garden variety keyboard that you find on the curb every Tuesday(if you know what I mean), but has potential w/ effects. Hence my theory. This gets a two for the weird delay and the 80's synth pop wannabe voices. Don't use this unless you have a good sense of humor :)
