Cai Brown a professional user from England writes:
I have owned this keyboard since it came out, and I honestly can say it has yet to dissapoint. The sounds are great, particularly in conjunction with a sustain pedal. Being in a psychedelic band, I often use the organ voices, which are very rich and powerful, particularly the 60's Organ and Blues. The only thing that might warn some away is the boards now obsolete flopy drive, though I myself see this as no problem. If you like a good sound and a nice system, this one will blow your mind.

Edwin Jimenez a professional user from Saratoga Springs, Utah writes:
I bought my 630 about 6 years ago, I also own a Korg Triton, and there's nothing better than sequencing on the 630, it's very user-friendly, the sounds are great. the only draw back is, being a latin musician, sometimes while playing salsa, I manage to accidentally hit the one setting touch bottom which automatically changes your pre set sound to a different one, I'll deduct a point for that. Other then that it competes with many expensive keyboards

craig campbell a professional user from Fort Worth, Texas [USA] writes:
Dear Yamaha, all other's of major concern,& minor skeptic's: This is by no means a cure-all, but it may rate as a serious bandage. I am an owner of a Yamaha 630 of which I've had for over a year. I was introduced to this board by another professional in the person of Mr. Tuttle. I was taken by the voicing of the "630"from the very start. This board is probably one of the best underated boards on the market. I was not expecting to acheive the satisfaction and enjoyment that it brought. As a professional I let this board set at the house for 6 months before I made a critical decision to use it on a gig. That decision changed my views on this marvelous little jewel. If this board was to be put on the market as a mid-size (76), or a full size (88), it would certainly be a fore-runner amoung keyboard titans. One last point that should be stressed is--if your a serious "Church Musician"and you really want to make or keep a serious impression on those musicians around you--Take a look at this board. If you are a lover of any type of critical compositions, you need to consider having this board as part of your arsonal...enjoy.
