I owned a PSR-70 for 15 years, loved it, but when I played the PSR-S700 I was so impressed I bought it.. BUT, playing upper volume I have speaker break-down, took back 2 times where I purchased, they said they couldn't find anything wrong. It is still doing it and now the screen went black, light went out... Not very happy with this unit...trying to decide what to do with this keyboard...

I still use this great board for performances and Gigs. It is very reliable, and has hardly let me down! I think that so many people seem to only scrape the surface of a keyboard, and do not go into depth with the instrument. The PSR 7000 has many many features, which I use for my compositions.

You can even create your own voices using your own wave forms by loading them into the keyboard via floppy drive. has anyone got any software for converting a normal pcm .wav file to this yamaha psr 7000 foormat? that would be a big help.

i use the psr7000 for gigs and it is all i need even though the 8k and9k and9k pro are up to date ;i also cant get a data cable for my keyboard hdd even though i have got the original toshiba hdd ;and all you get from yamaha so called customer support is sorry these are discontinued as are the 8k 9k 9kpro it makes you wonder why they bring some keyboards out when once theyre discontinued you cant get accessories for them; i have a rover motor car that is much older than my 7000 but i can still get parts and accessories for it someone should tell yamaha to get back to basics and listen to the people who have there keyboards and not just cater for the new breeds of keyboard; still i suppose they wont as there is no proffit in that they even charge to join there club ;sorry for the moan but i had to tell someone;long live yamaha ripoff .not. cheers .ps i still think my 7000 is hard to beat .
