If you have one of these, get one of those roll up pianos with MIDI capabilities and you'll have the ultimate portable workstation synth!! I got a 61 note Hand Roller II on eBay for around 80 bucks and it really brings the QY70 to life!! This thing, as dated as it is, is still in a class of it's own. I can't believe Yamaha hasn't updated the QY100 yet!!.

This thing, at ten years old, is still a killer piece of gear (although I hope everyone has purchased their 'to host' cables and not lost them, as they are not so easily found anymore). Wow....what can I say. The QY100, at 7 years old, is still being sold today (although it's pretty dated in terms of data storage, Smart Media yuck!) Still love and treasure this little QY70 box of musical joy.

i just recently bought my qy70 about a month ago and this is one killer gear! the tons of arrangement are keepers & the voices are amazing once you dig deep into it.im using it to make commercial jingles, live playing and laying downoriginal trax. i'm tweaking the voice parameters (cut-off, resonance...)using the evolution mk449c (its a very cool sight:).combined with reason, acid, roland vs and a controller, and you got a kick ass groove station. they should work on a longer battery life though...but what the heck, it's still a killer gear!

I want to controll a jp 8000, a ms 2000 and a electribe drum machine.and I'm tired of the computer, thank you in advance
