I've owned the rm1x since it first came out in "99".Most people just don't understand what the rm1x really is.It's a sequencer first,it accepts standard midi files which allows sequence remixing,(look at the name;sequence/remixer) and then as a bonus it has built in sounds.YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE BUILT IN SOUNDS! although some are useable when properly tweaked.A true expert at producing music can make miracles using what seems unlikely or impossible.ALL EQUIPMENT HAS ITS LIMITATIONS!It triggers my e6400 classic and others.Name a machine that has mute and section buttons so accessible.Remember what it is,just a SEQUENCER with added functions.---ONE!

I guess rm1x is not for everybody and if you cant use the rm1x then you will not be able to use anything else. You are just mad couse you cant use it.This thing has the best sequencer and there is no questioning about it.I use mine just for the external gear and its perfect for that.Internal sounds are not that good but the sequencing is waht it does the best.its not a dedicated peace but you can make it.Feel sorry for you

I was very happy with this box. Me and that awesome sequencer simply became one. The more I used it, the more inspired I became. I never liked the feel of those software sequencers. But with this box, I felt as if I were turely working with a powerful musicial instrument. I don`t think I have to get to much into the sound quality. The amount of people mentioning the fact that the quality is lacking speaks for itself. Though I was still able to produce some dance quality music. I was even able to inspire. Just put the time in, find the right conbination of sounds, and TWEAK THOUGHS KNOBS THAT ONLY HARDWARE SEQUNCERS HAVE! But I had to move on and get the Rs7000. It just simply has more of everything. Anyone just starting out might find the learning curve to be a little steep.

The RM1x is absolutely awesome. This is a sequencer to take anywhere. The good thing about this sequencer is that I can save my cubase midi files on a disk an put them into this machine. Cubase is the center of my setup at home but the RM1x is the center when I go on the road.

I use my Rm1x in combination with a Yamaha cs1x, Roland Juno 60, Gem pk 4900 and a Roland mc-307 groovebox. I am not a house musician but I like to have control over my instrument. Not that mouse stuff you know (rebirth). I use Cubase (for example)as a record machine but the tweak stuff that's what I like te most. THE KNOBS mmmmm I like them like a nice Chocolade Mousse. And the RM1x is the cream. But one important thing. Make you're own pattern's. sound's and songs. Use it on a creative way.

Greetings MoooooN

this thing is amazing! i got it at a store for 250$ us and i love it! the presets alone can move a crowd... plus when chained to my yamaha cs2x it created an unstoppable dance beast... all i can say is that im not complaining about it... those that do are blokes who need to stop letting acid or cakewalk think for them... if you can get one of these babies cheap then by all means do! and if you chain it to a korg electribeA watch out the results can frighten any one!!! gotta love it! peace.
