Klaus Paulsen a professional user from germany writes:
Astronomer, the MP7/XL7 are good, better than that old MC505, but it lacks of the sampler the RS has, and the big display and few other goodies. I would say, MP7/XL7 would add nicely to the RS, but they are not better. What you like and want and NEED more, RS or MP/XL-7 is up to your personal wants and needs, which brings me to "Midi", why do you rate this machine so low? It is not for you, fine, but because it doesnt fit your needs it is a bad machine? Nooooo. In this way your rating is rather unfair. And no, there is no rack-version of the MOTIF. Alternative could be for you a CS6r, which offers some of the MOTIF/EX-sounds, plus it has a phrase-sampler and a very good arpeggiator inside.

Rocksteady live party box, aswell as a deadly soundmodule! Beats a mc505 with a giant leap ahead.. asfar as the midi sequencer that is... mc505 has a better audio generator but a crapy midi engine!

But you really have to digg deep inside this peace of art, to get grip over the machine. Great mixing capabilities and lovely crunchy lofi sounds too :)

Goodbox!

Got one a few month ago, use it now for all my live-perfomances. Great sequencer to gig with, like RM1x on steroids, and i mean LOTS of steroids...:)

Big machine with big features for app. $US 1000...bangs the crap out of other similar products. Go, test one and be convinced to get on e for yourself. I did a 1 to 1 comparison between RM1x and RS7000 drumsets...the drumsets on the RS, kicks the RM1x-ones to the moon, thats how much punchier they are!

synthe.labo a part-time user from IT writes:
incredible machine i sold most of my last gear and now use this with a Nord Modular, ES-1 and other synth. you can really do what you want with this unit, every type of sampling, separate EQ over each track,... don't really understand the ones who says it's overpriced or crap...have you tried it or you'r just drunk?

ciao
