i just got the Yamaha rs 7000 and i still havent been happy wiht my samples. this is my first time using a machine like this so i have no clue on how to loop my sample once i rec. it. i try to sample 4 bars but when it goes back to the 1st bar there is a skip or jump. so do i sample wrong or are my bars too short. i have no idea. i read other sampling books but they have the same information as my owners manual, they just explain how to sample bits and pices. i try to sample 2 or 4 bars of a song i like and try to loop it and it sounds bad. any tips you can give me i will be very happy and unstressed. thank you

os 1.2 takes care of all the step grid problems, and it makes the rs7000 10x powerful!

superb kick ass sequencer....very superior sequencing at a cost that is a big bargain!

yamaha didn't disappoint their customers in this one like they did with cs6x! (cs6x was a great synth, but support for the cs6x sucked bad)

i use the rs7000 as a vocal effects processor...3 effects+ master effect (4 effects total) makes the rs7000 really superb for live vocals!!

I can midi sync delay, with other devices, so when i sing, my vocal delay will keep up with the beat!

really nice!

yeah...the new version of the os (v1.2) has cleaned up things quite a bit...better grid functioning...16 track access from the surface...non-stop rec->aud->rec...it also seems to sound better than i remembered (hadn't played it much since about the third month after it came out)...so now, what i'm thinking is that a performance setup could be reduced to just the rs7000 + a laptop + 828 mk 2 + midi kb controller...anyone trying this? this way...i can use either ableton live or the rs7k for sampling...now, for $5KbUSh dollars you can get the deluxe setup: rs7k + px7 (w 3 sound roms) + laptop + 828 mk 2 + kb controller...tempting (but then, $5KUS can buy an awful lot of computer)
